Professor SERGIO Pimentel
Sergio Pimentel (pictured right) is our head Professor, standing next to his Professor, Marcus Tulio. Sergio is responsible for teaching nearly all of our classes on the schedule. He has competed all over the world and has received world champion titles in BJJ. His credentials include: 3rd degree BJJ Black Belt under Prof Marcos Tulio and De La Riva, Muay Thai Fighter [Liga Sok Thai], Certified IBJJF/CBJJ. Head Coach for over 24 years in Brazil, Former Head Coach Team Nogueria Porto Alegre Brazil, Pro fighters under Team Pimentel, and is the Head Referee for Tap Cancer Out.

Coach nate
Nathan is a Black Belt under Team Pimentel. He has dedicated 13 years of his life to Brazilian Jiujitsu, and nearly 8 of those years were under Sergio Pimentel. Early on in his career, he competed in numerous BJJ competitions and remained undefeated until his competition career came to an unfortunate halt after suffering 2 back-to-back knee reconstructions in 2013 and 2015. He has managed to continue doing what he loves through coaching and training. He is extremely well versed in BJJ, teaching the art of respect and he is very detail oriented when teaching difficult techniques.

COACH mike
For 5 years, we all knew him as "Brown Belt Mike". Mike not only brings a wealth of knowledge to our team with years of experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but also ring knowledge as a professional boxer. The energy he brings into the gym is infectious and uplifting. He has been training for over 16 years while simultaneously serving in the military.
Coach ben
Coach Ben's journey traces back to our inception. Over time, his passion for teaching lead him to volunteer for classes intermittently. In 2023, Ben officially joined our team as a committed part-time instructor, leading our Monday night No-Gi class and our Intro to BJJ classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Earning his Black Belt in the same year marked a significant milestone for Ben, solidifying his expertise and dedication to the sport.

COACH CORY
Coach Cory (pictured center) is a Brown Belt under Team Pimentel and teaches all of our 6am classes. He began training over 10 years ago and is dedicated to passing down his own knowledge to his not just our students but his own children as well. He exudes great passion when he teaches, remains patient with the children, and always makes it fun.
COACH ALEX
Coach Alex, a 2nd-degree Renzo Gracie black belt, joined our team in 2018 and has been an invaluable asset ever since. With a deep passion for both BJJ and MMA, he brings extensive experience to our gym.
Alex's dedication shines through in his coaching of our kids' class and our Friday night competition BJJ class. His expertise extends beyond the mats, as he has not only competed in both BJJ tournaments and amateur MMA fights but also leads our Law Enforcement training seminars.

COACH BRITT
Coach Britt's role extends far beyond managing our social media presence. She has been instrumental in teaching our kids' classes and shaping our Women's program. With an impressive track record, Britt has clinched gold in numerous local competitions and showcased her skills on a global stage, reaching the semi-finals at the World Master's 2023 where she earned her Purple belt.
